A broken heart and a longed-for concert comeback, James Arthur is finally in Prague
The story of how James Arthur became an overnight pop star is familiar to everyone in his native Britain. With his debut single Impossible, the historically most successful participant of the X Factor conquered the top of the charts not only at home, but in more than 50 countries around the world right after winning the TV competition. He has never disappeared from the listening charts, now in Prague he will present his awaited fifth album Bitter Sweet Love.
James Arthur will perform at Prague’s Karlín Forum on February 22, 2024. Tickets costing 990 crowns will be on sale from September 22, 2023 in the Ticketmaster and Ticketportal networks.
After successful singles with world producers and DJs such as Alok, Lost Frequencies or Sigala, which James Arthur supplied us with during the concert break, this year the British singer decided to return to his typical pop songwriting full of personal stories. The romantic breakup track Blindside follows up on the previously released A Year Ago, in which he sings about how he is still haunted by the ghost of his past relationship. The album Bitter Sweet Love will be released later this year on Columbia Records.
He released his eponymous debut one year after participating in a talent contest. In 2013, his songs Recovery and Impossible took European radio stations by storm. He managed to break through in America three years later with Say You Won’t Let Go. To this day, it ranks among the twenty most successful songs on Spotify. The fact that James Arthur is still at the top is also indicated by his scheduled show in the legendary London arena Wembley with a capacity of over seventy thousand spectators.
So far, all of his albums have reached the UK top 10 and the success of the already released singles suggests that it will be a successful comeback. The Bittersweet Love album inspired both playing live and connecting with beloved fans: “With each successive success and album release, I always felt more and more stressed. But now I feel like a child again, making music that he loves. I don’t worry about being liked anymore,” Arthur introduces his album.
