“We are returning to Fóra Karlín, and I firmly hope that we will not move anywhere else with the Christmas concert in the coming years. When I first stood on the boards that represent the world fifty-six years ago, I could never have imagined that I would still be standing on them in 2023,” says Michal Prokop with enthusiasm.
For every ticket purchase, you will now receive a voucher for a 10% discount on the album “Čas je šťastnej lhář“, a selection of the best that Michal Prokop has recorded in his fifty-six-year career. The album will be christened at the Christmas concert and voucher holders can purchase it from 6.10. until 21.12. in the brick-and-mortar store of Supraphon Musicpoint – Bontonland or directly at the concert in Forum Karlín.
The Christmas concerts of Michal Prokop and his guests are popular for their unique atmosphere and usually represent the culmination of the singer’s concert year. Visitors and fans can look forward to the most popular songs such as Kolej Yesterday, Blues about Swallowed Words or Batva o Charles Bridge, which will be complemented by pieces from the successful album Could it be Heaven. This year, too, the program of the Christmas concert will be enriched by a number of interesting guests. Among them will appear Honza Hrubý with the group Kukulín, inspired by the books of J. R. R. Tolkien, who will also celebrate his 75th birthday at the Christmas concert. Other names are still a secret, it is certain that, as in previous years, they will be prominent personalities of the Czech music scene.
In addition to the Christmas concert, one more surprise is planned.
