Canadian legends Simple Plan will play on Sunday 28 January 2024 at Prague’s Karlín Forum. Their concert will be opened by two American projects Mayday Parade and State Champs, which will complement this pop-punk party. It will take place as part of the band’s 25th anniversary tour.
Simple Plan came together in Quebec City in 1999. The project currently consists of singer Pierre Bouvier, drummer Chuck Comeau and guitarists Sebastien Lefebvre and Jeff Stinco. To date, they have released six studio albums and several live recordings, won numerous awards (Juno Awards, MuchMusic Video Awards, NRJ Music Awards, and more), performed at the closing ceremony of the 2010 Winter Olympics, and featured their music on What’s New, Scooby-Doo? .
During their long career, the band did not lose the most important thing – a strong bond with their fans. “We’re so lucky to have listeners who love our old and new albums,” says drummer Chuck Comeau. And the band adds: “We’re looking forward to playing songs from our latest record ‘Harder Than It Looks’ and along with old favourites. We plan to add some jamming to celebrate 2024 as it’s the band’s 25th anniversary and the 20th anniversary of our second album ‘Still Not Getting Any’. It’s going to be spectacular!”
Tickets for the Prague concert will be on sale for fan club members on the band’s website from 10:00 on August 1. A pre-sale for the general public starts on Ticketportal and Ticketmaster from 10:00 on August 4. 25 CZK from each ticket sold will be donated to the Simple Plan Foundation.
The concert is organized by Charmenko Czechia.
