Bonobo takes us to the colorful wilderness of the album Fragments. Musician and producer Bonobo has long been one of the most successful producers on the electronic scene, releasing a number of records under the renowned Ninja Tune brand, rolling with them at the top of the world charts and being awarded three Grammy nominations for them. He returns to Prague after four years and a sold-out concert at the Karlín Forum. This time he brings the current record Fragments, the most emotional album ever composed by Simon Green aka Bonobo. Among the guests are names like Joji, Jamila Woods or Jordan Rakei.
Bonobo will perform in Prague on November 26 at the Karlín Forum, tickets (CZK 990) will be on sale from June 10 on fource.cz and in the Ticketmaster network.
The album Fragments is the first that Green composed at home. After forcibly interrupting his concert, he began to put together all the pieces of ideas he had collected during the quarantine. The initial fear of limited possibilities was replaced by new inspirations such as extraterrestrial nature around Los Angeles, where Green found a second home, and a quiet world that stopped for several months. One of the most significant singles, the song Tides ft. Jamila Wood, was even created directly in connection with the journey through Death Valley. As Green himself says, discovering unknown or unique places eventually became the main inspiration for the album.
Fragments are the sound of isolation and pain – personal and collective – and at the same time they represent a joyous return, a reminder that our disillusionment and suffering can always be better addressed through creativity and hope, which can come when we least expect it.
